A Peaceful Scent
Peaceful Haven Studio.
Good morning, friends!
Just getting Peaceful Haven Studio set up for another day of creating! Filling water containers, lining my palette with Press n Seal for easy cleanup, getting my colors lined up for the day, and selecting pre-prepped canvases to work on.
One of the things I love to do in preparation for work is to set the atmosphere for creation. Like the name says, I like a peaceful, restful harbor where joy and creative expression flow together.
Setting the tone in the studio includes subtle things like the music playing in the background and a diffuser sending off wisps of fragrant oils for health of body, mind, and spirit.
Choosing my oils for the day is a process. I wipe out the oils from yesterday as a conscious action of putting yesterday behind, leaving all that yesterday brought with it in the past. I think about what I learned, what mistakes I made, what I can distill from my time creating to bring to the process for today.
A fresh cup of filtered water is poured into the diffuser and it’s symbolic of the refreshing water available for the creations of today. It brings a quench to the creative mind and connection to the One who gives the day, the skill, the inspiration.
Lastly, the choice of oils to blend for the day. Will it be for focus, rest, introspection, and just pure joy today? Some of my favorites are Rose, Patchouli, White Fir, Lime, Lemon, Orange, Grapefruit....but my sworn fav is definitely Bergamot! I love a blend of Rose and Bergamot, so romantic and refreshing!
Do you use a diffuser in your Peaceful Haven to set a mood and create a subtle note of restful relaxation? What scents are your favorites? I’d love to hear your favorites and blends you’ve created, drop them below!
Look forward to hearing what you do to create a restful atmosphere in your Peaceful Haven!
Love to all,
Cassandra.
